THE PLANT DOCTOR:

 

A hands-on experiential chemistry workshop and lab. The Plant Doctor provides participants an opportunity to explore botany through the life and legacy of Dr. George Washington Carver. 

STATS topics: chemistry, botany, hypothesis testing

THE TWO TUPACS:

 

Introduces participants to geographical concepts through the life of Tupac Shakur, a hip-hop artist and poet and Tupac Amaru an Incan cacique. Participants identify the birth places of both, learn about their upbringing and values and develop a map to plot the area of the countries where both men lived and worked. 

STATS topics: cartography and anthropology

BIRTHPLACE OF MANKIND:

 

Introduces participants to genetics concepts through the lens of the Omo One bones found in Ethiopia. Participants construct a double-helix DNA strand and also learn about molecular structure.
